The Justchlor Self Cleaning chlorinators operate on a reverse polarity process (bidirectional) utilizing the main pump timer to facilitate this switching, every time the timer switches OFF the pool pump, the chlorinator internally changes its polarity and on re-energization for the next cycle operates in reverse polarity. This process facilitates the automatic cleaning of the electrode. During this reverse cycle, one will observe that the calcium built up (white chalky deposit) on the one set of electrode plates, will be shed.
